Neighbourhood Solutions Strategy (NSS)
About
Funded by United Way Greater Toronto, the Neighbourhood Solutions Strategy (NSS) is a community-led initiative focused on better supporting marginalized residents in South Markham. It brings together local residents, ACSA Community Services, and other partners to work collaboratively on the issues that matter most to the community.
The strategy is based on earlier community research and planning, which identified three key priorities: access to more stable housing, easier access to services and shared community spaces, and better economic opportunities.
The NSS works with community partners and residents to turn these priorities into a shared action plan. Through a series of planned projects and activities, the strategy focuses on making short-term improvements while also supporting long-term community growth, helping residents access essential supports, take advantage of new opportunities, and create positive change in their neighbourhoods.
