Co-led by ACSA Community Services and the Senior Services Network, it brings together residents, community organizations, service providers, local institutions, and York Regional Police to address interconnected issues in South Markham. With a focus on housing stability and mental health, SMCAT emphasizes community-driven solutions by combining lived experience and professional expertise to support safer, more connected communities.

Neighbourhood Solutions Strategy (NSS)
The Neighbourhood Solutions Strategy (NSS), funded by United Way Greater Toronto, is a community-led initiative supporting marginalized residents in South Markham. It brings together residents, ACSA Community Services, and local partners to address key priorities identified through community research: stable housing, improved access to services and shared spaces, and greater economic opportunities. Through collaborative projects and an action plan, NSS aims to create both immediate improvements and long-term positive change in the community.

Traumatic Incident Response Protocol (TIRP)
The Traumatic Incident Response Protocol (TIRP), funded by York Region, is a coordinated initiative developed with York Regional Police to support communities after violent incidents. It brings together community organizations, leaders, and residents to share information, connect people to supports, and promote healing in trauma-informed and culturally responsive ways. Led by ACSA Community Services and Routes Connecting Communities, in partnership with the Women’s Centre of York Region, TIRP operates across several York Region municipalities and adapts its response to meet the unique needs of each affected community.
